A meeting with the deputy of the northern governorate and the head of the municipal council

At the invitation of Jid Al-Haj Charity Society, yesterday, Sunday, June 4, we were honored by the presence of His Excellency the Deputy of the Northern Governorate, First District, Dr. Mahdi Al-Shuwaikh and the head of the Northern Municipal Council, Dr. Sayed Shubar Al-Wadaei, at the Charity headquarter in the village.

In the presence of the association’s administration and a number of the villagers, it was a friendly and fruitful meeting, in which many points were raised, which are related to the needs of the village, and the requirements of the people for development and advancement.

Among the most important files that were discussed was the file of the housing applications of the people, as some of the applications in it date back more than twenty years, and they explained in this matter the extent of their suffering from the lack of living space and their endurance of the situation over many years, hoping to resolve this matter as soon as possible.

As for services and development in the village, the situation is that the village lacks any services of any kind. The attendees took the initiative to raise the issue of establishing a garden for the village and a walkway, as it was the simplest thing enjoyed by all the villages of the Kingdom. The establishment of a sports and cultural center that embraces the youth energies in the village was discussed, and directs and develop their skills properly in order to advance them to the highest levels.

With regard to the charitable association, it has been clarified that it needs a permanent headquarter, with the aim of developing and supporting charitable work, creating a suitable and effective environment for the people and cadres of the village, and holding cultural, awareness-raising and service activities, explaining that the current headquarter is based on a monthly rental system.

With regard to the aforementioned, a number of letters were delivered to each of the deputy and the head of the municipal council, in order to deliver them to the concerned authorities.
In conclusion, Jid Al-Haj Charity Society extends its sincere thanks and gratitude to His Excellency Representative Dr. Mahdi Al-Shuweikh, and the head of the municipal council, Dr. Sayed Shubr Al-Wadaei, for their response to this invitation, and their presence among the people, as this had a beautiful effect on their souls, and let this be the beginning of other fruitful meetings, God willing.
